Air traffic in Belgium is up 6 percent for the first half of this year from 2007.

BELGIUM - During the first six months of this year, air traffic at Belgian airports was 6 percent up on the same period in 2007.
Regional airports of Ostend, Liège and Antwerp welcomed more flights and had 7 percent increase from 2007. The airport of Charleroi saw a status-quo while Brussels National Airport enjoyed a 4 percent increase.
Together, Belgian airports saw 581,000 flights between January and June 2008.
Where the number of passengers is concerned, Brussels Airport welcomed over 9 million passengers between January and June, a 10 percent increase.
